Gift card holder
Here is a money or gift card holder for a housewarming or other gift giving occassion. This is an economical but pretty way to have a housewarming or wedding tree that is themed with the favorite color of the receipient. Easy to make and pretty to look at.
Materials:
card stock paperprinterscissorsstamp of a roseink padglue stick or white gluepaper punchribbonEvergreen artificial or handmade treeTo begin this gift card holder, first print out your pattern as a 4.50 X 4.50 image in black ink. You can use this as your pattern or you can cut several from one sheet of stock paper. I made mine as a pattern and used some left over card stock I had. Clip off ragged edges that come from cutting several pieces at once. Cut out as many as you need and fold as indicated on pattern. I wrote the words "To:" and "From:" on the front.. Next take the cut out and open it up and begin stamping the whole outside page with different degrees of stamp color. When you are satisfied glue the edges down as indicated on pattern with a glue stick or white glue. Be careful that you keep them inside the area they need to be opened so you form an envelope. Allow to dry and then punch a hole in the center of the top of the tag. Thread a piece of matching ribbon about 5 inches long into the hole and tie into a knot. Hand out or mail out the envelope for people to return a gift in. Hang on the "Giving Tree" and enjoy the pretty personalized money /gift holder. Your recipient will be very happy with the results.
**Tip: Be sure to check your envelopes often to make sure a regular sized gift card will fit in them.
