Heat Resistant?

I was thinking of using this type of fake snow with small white Christmas lights. Does anyone know if this "snow" melts due to the heat of the lights?

Probably too hot

I'm not positive, but I think the lights would get much too hot for the fake snow. I do know for sure that you would not be able to use Mod Podge as the glue, because the light would get much too hot. If anyone else has ideas please post. It is ashame, because I think this is a good idea and would have been very pretty!
