Tin Can Luminaries: Christmas Can Luminaries

Tin Can Luminaries: Christmas Can Luminaries

by Laura Williams
(Baltimore, Maryland)

I did this craft for Christmas. I used a dremel tool instead of a hammer and nails. I also used a vice grip to hold can and did it WITHOUT ice.

I sprayed the cans with a cream paint that had a texture to it (Home Depot) so it had a snow effect after making holes and then I sprayed it with a clear coat.

I used these designs: tree, star, the word JOY, bow, a reindeer head, snowflake, angel.

Also I used various can sizes from tomato paste to large vegetable cans. So many friends loved them I gave a set of 5 as a gift.
